Good collections of songs, but I think his song selection was on the cool side. It doesn't offer the warm tonal grooves of summer and lacks energy. The album is way to chill, and if you ask me The Best of Mars is missing the point of what summer is all about. It would have been better if he used a grass field for an album cover and retain Summer Spirit title. I know it's kind of nit picking on the minor things, but putting an album together is a collective effort. It's what divides the professional to the amateur and for sure it is on the harsh side, however still stick with my judgment say this album is no more than average out of those merits.
